replaced motor in dx hatch--throwing wierd code
Well, I bought a dx hatch in really good condition abouta month ago for 400 and the guy gave me a couple motors and some other ---- too. Both motors were D15b2. One hada blown headgasket and the other had thrown a rod and had a nickle sized hole in the block. I replaced the head gasket on the one and put it in and it runs fine but it throws a wierd code. It throws code 20 but it's not 2 long blinks... it is 20 short blinks. I looked around but i'm pretty sure that code 20 isn't in the manual that I have. Anyone know what this could be?

Re: replaced motor in dx hatch--throwing wierd code
Yeah there is a code 20, but its 2 long, not 20 short. also, theres no way it could be throwing the code over and over, becuase 20 isnt divisable by 3 lol, becasue throwing 10 twice would be 1 long then 1 long, not 10 each. I mean i guess it could be throwing 5 or 4 over and over lol.

Re: replaced motor in dx hatch--throwing wierd code
if it is really fast check the ecu ground on the thermostat housing. damn, i just thought about it and i dont think it would run at all if that ground was off, but check it and clean it anyway. its a fast and cheap way to eliminate something
