ive done it quite a few times by myself taking it out from the bottom. i jack the car way up and lower the motor down onto two cinder blocks (a good idea for insurance so you dont accidentally let the motor fall 2 feet) and then re-postion the jack. this works well so you dont have to really try too hard to guide the motor down as the jack pivots.
