Re:removing the crankshaft
might wanna see what else the spun bearings messed up before buying this thing. as for tips: loosen the bolts, remove the crank. make sure you get all new seals and clean the ---- outta everything, and get the proper bearings

Re:removing the crankshaft
i plan on puttin in new rods/bearings/crank, and probably new rings for the pistons as well

Re:removing the crankshaft
then whats "built" about this block?...is it sleeved?
|
Re:removing the crankshaft
Obviously the main caps have to come off, oil pump and rear main seal cover. As GT said, replace both your front and rear main seals when re-installing.

Re:removing the crankshaft
yeah its has godzilla sleeves.

Re:removing the crankshaft
If your gonna be replacing all that ---- anyway, the crank is gonna be just one of the things that come off. Just save and mark all the bolts. lol

Re:removing the crankshaft
how does this sound, godzilla sleeves 1.7l, JE pistons, eagle rods (spun bearings) crank needs replacing, act 6 puck clutch/flywheel. 900, everythin had 4-5k on it. sound like a straight deal?
