Is the rear cross-member bolt-on?
so here`s my brother`s civic (94 2dr) spinned on the freeway and bented both of the LCA bracket + LCA on the rear cross-member........
body shops wanted $600 for it... >:( >:( :'($ but then i heard teh LCM is a bolt on..not weld on.... anyone knows?...help me out so i save $400... :'( |

rear crossmember is a bolt in piece.

ya, it's bolted on, but if you remove the bolts it stays there, you have to take every suspension piece off of it and pull out the steering system from it, it's a bitch.

maybe we're not talking about the same thing here, but on my car there are 2 cross things inside the engine bay, one further towards the front of the car, and one closer to the fire wall. the one closer to the fire wall has the steering attached to it, and I'm pretty sure it's called the rear cross member.

I didn't know there was one in the back of the car, I was just ------- with the front of the car since that's where the engine is.

just use a good torch wrench, nothing can beat it.
