re-use head internals?

the head i have on my "built" motor right now has close to 300k miles on it. it was the head off my first car and has seen 3 different turbo kits, and 3 different bottom ends. it never burned oil and always sealed great but recently it over heated and now i cant get the motor to stop pushing exhuast gases into the coolant. it over heats about eveytime i get on it cause it boils the coolant.

i tried a new head gasket but i think the heads warped and just blew it again, or worse its cracked idk. but i have a bare z6 head and was thinking about just trying to revuild that to stock specs and use that. now what all should i use from the old head to minimize costs but not cut any corners? everything is all stock.
i figure maybe some new valves? but what about springs? and im assuiming the cam would be fine? ive never done anything with the top end so this is new to me. suggestions for building my bare z6?

Re: re-use head internals?

why not just send it to a machine shop and have them check it for cracks and mill it flat if needed. check the block w/ a straight edge if possible also.
