Re:Re-use ACT clutch?
the springs stop chatter or something...
the guy that bought the ZC motor that clutch was attached to claimed that several of the springs in that disc pictured where broken and could spin in there or something... ill buy that clutch and PP if your going to sell/throw them away... |
Re:Re-use ACT clutch?
if u are going to reuse it i would atleast get the flywheel resurfaced and make shure to torque the pressureplate bolts to spec....but ive never had luck reusing the clutch but it was prob b/c i didnt torque the bolts down properly they were way way way toooooo tight but :-\ ???

Re:Re-use ACT clutch?
I wouldn't throw a xtreme pressure plate away...you can buy another clutch plate and put it on and reuse the pressure plate. But that clutch plate seems ok. i would reuse

Re:Re-use ACT clutch?
Alot of clutch discs have a little bit of play in the damper even right out of the box...I would re-use it. Oh yeah...the blue color on the inside part of the disc is from the hardening of the metal that is used in the middle. Most disc look like this out of the box too. The only thing I would worry about being this color is the flywheel or the pressure plate. They will turn blue from lots of heat.
