Random aerodynamics Q

wouldn't it be benificial to a light honda's high speed stability to fabricate an engine bay vaccumm? I'm saying like pulling the air out of this large space and allowing it to "pull" towards the ground for better traction? Since there is a closed fi system in the schematic you wouldn't have to worry about powerloss, simply route the filter out of the bay. I could attain a higher 'mass air flow' (to borrow a term) through the hottest area of the car and achieve greater low frequency stability...?? I don't think an under car diffuser would be that hard to develop... anyone interested in guinea pigging?

thatd be soo hard to get right its not worth it... A better way would be some kind of front spoiler to give downforce

There are things you can do to increase airspeed under the car and decrease pressure, equalling downforce. For starters, little 2" diffusers in front of each tire. The new Toyota MR2 has them, the BMW M3 has them; what they do is deflect air away from the tire a little and more toward the center of the underbody, increasing air flow there. There are more things you can do, but i'm too tired to think. :-\

I think whatever you did would probably end up being a rice factor.. just the way that stuff will look.
