Rad Fan
In 88-91 civic's there are 2 fans...i was wondering if it is possible to remove the one one the drivers side??

Re:Rad Fan
yes it is possibe. Im pretty sure its the fan for the ac. Wouldnt take it out unless you dont have or want your ac. ;)

Re:Rad Fan
I got rid of my A/C....what about the wires though??
|
Re:Rad Fan
Track them down to some connector and unplug it if possible. My car did not have ac, 88 dx, and has only one fan and runs fine. If not just cut the wires and cap them off with some connector or insulator or something

Re:Rad Fan
yeah i think it will be fine...just wanted to make sure that the regular fan would work ok

Re:Rad Fan
instead of pitching fans, have you thought about reversing them to the other side of the radiator?
|
Re:Rad Fan
cant do the other side of the radiator, seems like your fans will blow twords the radiator,.. they dont,.. they suck are threw it,.. you put it on the other side,.. nothigns going to happen,.. youll be pushing air out towrds the street,... itll do nothing,..yes you can take it off,.. its just and extra fan,... not for ac,.. just there,.. your ac radiator is in front of you engines,.. i took out my ac and its raditor,.. but id leave that little fan unless its a problem,.. its not doing anything,. will help if any,.. and dont weigh anything,.. leave it,.. its blwoing air on your headers

Re:Rad Fan
With the amount of periods and commas in that last response, I'm a bit confused. Try rephrasing your question in an old fashioned sentence structure and I might be able to help more.
You can get creative with fans, reverse the wires if you have to (fan will blow backwards). |
