question on rods

I know that d15 and b16 rods are the same length, does anyone know if you can have b16 rods machined to fit a d15? (like the b18 rods for a d16)

Re:question on rods

Just get a d16 block for $50. It's not really worth it if you are going to build it anyway.

Re:question on rods

Actually the b16 rods are .37mm longer than the d15 rods. b16=5.290 in or 134.37mm
d15=5.276 in or 134mm.

The pistons would sit .0146 in higher in the cyl. So length is a problem that can be over come.
Now the crappy part.

d15 main bearing journal size is 1.7707 in
d15 rod bearing size is 1.6526 in

b16 main bearing journal size is 2.1644 in
b16 rod bearing journal size is 1.7707 in

So find some big ass oversized rods bearing and you are good to go. That's like 3mm oversze.
