CG trans:

Pro: Bisi dropped everything to run them.

Con: 20 years old and all of them need rebuilt (not much different from 88-91 D-series cable trans).

Re: Question regarding the D16 A6/Y8/Z6

CG wins over 88-2000 design, it has support between 4th and 5th gear to PREVENT the shafts from trying to walk out the passenger side case.

People are shredding gears in the 88-2000 trannys, but Bisi is running OEM 1-5 with a Houseman (who built the black box) Custom final drive, likely 5.0:1

Also the advantage of the CG tranny that the axle centerline is about an inch lower, less to grind off the block.

JD, those pics are hosted on RPR :)

I'm supposed to meet Jamie Monday or Tuesday in Detriot if all goes well, but not looking good.

Does any company make an LSD for the CG trans?

Houseman somehow fitted a B16 Quafie in them, I have one here in Cincy that I'll be picking up soon.

Dunno if it required a custom ring gear, but the guy only paid $200 for the CG tranny with LSD.

What do you expect with Bone doing more than his usual... typing two words and then not explaining himself, Phil?
