Question
Just for certainy
Can you use dual type r springs on a b16a head with stock valves on the exhaust and the intake And shimming the factory b16 oil pump for higher oil press. with this combination would it give you the possibilty to run 20psi to 9000rpm? |
Re: Question
conserding the type r came with duals on the exhaust and intake yes
|
Re: Question
damn i though they had single on exhaust
but they're cool to 20psi right? maybe 23 or 34 i dont wanna push the valvetrain |
Re: Question
Your not getting 20 psi through that at 9k rpm dude.. Not on the stock retainers. Your gonna drop a damn valve.
And your bottom end is built right? Because that's never going to handle that kind of power either. That is unless your running some kind of tiny ass turbo. But you never specified. |

I rev stock b16 bottom ends to 10k and never had a rod bolt failure. Same applies to any honda rod bolt. Fun interweb rumor |
Re: Question
Its darton mid sleeved and bored to 84.5
eagle rods and mahle pistons arp 2000 bolts would itl be safe running 20psi on those type R springs to 8K? I figured they're stronger and wont float at 20psi but i may be wrong |
Re: Question
Dude I have my own line of valve springs/retainers they own and are hella of alot cheaper than skunk2 stuff. Pm me
