Default problems with car

soo my sister moved to alaska for a couple months, car has been sitting foir those 3 months with monthly starts. start it up tonight and the ------ thing idle at 3k rpm. kinda drops down a couple rpm then starts cutting out, then surging like a ****. any idea??

i googled it but found no luck

1991 mazda 929 v6

any suggestion?

Engine misfire: High idle or surging when cold could be due to a bad coolant sensor. (1990-92)

I would suspect a idle control valve as described in the link.Have you checked for vacum leaks?Got a manual for that ******?
