Problem with whining fuel pump

HI,
I started up my car (95 civic Dx w/ls/vtec, dsm 450's) and the fuel pump seems to be making a whining sound. It doesn't stop after the car primes. In fact, the noise starts when I put the car in the on position. Is it a bad fuel pump or could it be the main relay??

are we talking aftermarket fuel pump or stock?

I'm pretty sure its stock. I know that alot of people complain that the Walbros whine alot. But this whining just started today.

Ok, I am officially the most retarded person on earth....My hatch has a rear window wiper, but the blade was removed. While starting the car, I must have hit the switch and that was the whining I heard. :S :S :1 :1 :1 :1 :S :1 :1
