possible b16 obd2 to obd1 dizzy conversion?? or dizzy plug conversion

alright, i got gyped over by a guy who claimed hes sending me an obd1 dizzy for my b16a, well i got it, threw it in the motor i am building, 2 months later when im ready to start getting everything ready to start, i find out its obd2, well, what im wondering is, i ripped out all the ECLECTRONIC internals, and was wondering, if i went to the junk yard, ripped out the ELECTRONIC internals of an obd1 SOHC, and put those in, would it work? since the only difference between SOHC and DOHC dizzy's is how they mount to the head.....correct?? or no, help me!! or tell me what i can do to make this dizzy obd1!!

is the wiring different? if not, just wire an obd1 plug on to it. just a shot in the dark, but i don't think sohc internals would work. :-\

I thought OBD1 and OBD2 dizzy were almost the same...I think I read of people using an OBD2 dizzy on OBD1 ecu...or is it an OBD2b dizzy?? don't know if that one is different

i think everything is pretty much the same except for the plug. do you know of anyone that has a bseries obd1 dizzy? if so, just compare wires, if they're the same, just go to the junk yard and cut a plug and wire it up. it may be easier to find an obd2 female plug for the harness than an obd1 male plug to attach to the dizzy :-\

well i did it, the part numbers from the complete rotor assembly were the same, cap was the same, everything was the same except for the mounting to the head, SOHC and DOHC dizzy's ARE the same accept for where it mounts onto the head.....so in conclusion, plugs from the obd1 SOHC will fit the obd1 wire harness from a GSR, and the internals from a SOHC dizzy will work in obd1 DOHC dizzy's

STOPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP

YES AND NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

OBD1 b16a3 92 what 97 delsol ???????? Not shore of the years. The CPS is in the dizzy!
OBD1 94-95 GSR CPS is in the dizzy
obd2 97 and above GSR or 99-00si CPS is near the crank pully. The way you can do it is use a obd1 on a obd2 motor but not worth the effort to do the opposite TRUST ME! When you put the obd1 on the obd2 motor all you have to do is cut the CPS wire from the CPS near the crank pully and rewire it to the dizzy . NOt to hard to do and works just like stock!
