hey ive got a 89 dx civic w/the mpfi swap,97 d16y7,1990 crx si ecu,mpfi,and ecu.when i drive it and mash it i 1st the car bogs,has no trq and wont run right till 3-4 grand,and then at that time the cel comes on and tells me the o2 is bad.well ive put 3 diff. ones on it,ran a shielded wire from ecu to o2. i have also replaced the dist cap, rotor button,fuel filter, and plugs and wires. ive checked everything i can think of and am stumped..PLS HELP!! sorry so long

 

Check the timing and the fuel filter(s).

i replaced the fuel filter on the fire wall..and timed it ..looked for vac leaks, ran injector cleaner threw it,double checked wiring, and grounds still no luck

 

How about the ingnitor?

i had thought about that but never swaped it..... i used the one from my dx dist. why would it run good at higher rpms if that is bad tho ..ill swap it out tho

 

...if u nail the gas at idle when sitting still the car will bog at 1000 rmp then slowly build up till like 2500 or so then rev really fast like it should...and the car is also running rich(obviously cause the o2 sen wont work right..but thats the prob i dk why)

 

it could be too lean too, if it is perhapse the fuel pump is going out. are your spark plugs fouled?

 

true i was having some slight detonation(it was backfiring threw the intake slightly) but it only does that at low rmp when its there all bogged down....d15 ran fine with pump but mpfi would take more fuel so sense im planning on turboing it if i ever get it to run right ill just up grade with a new one the plugs were black carboned up except for the top where they were white

 

Hmmm, bogs low and okay up top....Think its worth a look to see if your Cam timing is a 'tooth' or two off.
