Please!!! mini me head gasket question
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I was looking at cometic.com that they have head gaskets on several thickness, using the compresion calculator, if I use the d16y8/z6 (0.037 in) head gasket on my d15b7 the compression goes to 10.52, but I know that this number is high to make a turbo mini-me, then, if I go for a bigger thickness (0.074), my compression goes to 9.61, Is this a good number to boost my mini-me
It wonīt affect my mini-me swap without boost
Cause I will boost my mini-me on about 6 months more , because of $$$$, but I donīt want to affect my mini-me performance
My setup d15b7 with d16y8 head an I/M and ex tranny.
Please help

Re: Please!!! mini me head gasket question
9.6:1 is a much better ratio to use for boost than the 10.52:1. At 9.6:1 youre not really going to notice any difference, simply because anyting higher on pump gas usually detonates pretty easily and you end up retarding your timing. Less timing = less power. Keep it low

Re: Please!!! mini me head gasket question
first off you have to think how much r u going to boost second off you want to think how fast and reliable do you want your car if your only going to boost 10 psi go with the higher compression your car will be alot faster but if you want to boost more go with the low but www.full-race.com made a sohc stock sleeves with only pistons and rods hold 500hp at 30 psi so the block can hold some psi so dont be worried..
