Please help me before i shoot myself in the face

Please help me before i shoot myself in the face. I'm getting a rotaional noise coming from up front (it's not the breaks) it increases with speed, it's loudest while i'm decelerating in gear., kinda like rub, rub, rub, rub , rub. almost starting to sound like a grinding noise. Wheels aren't touching anything. i have no ------- clue what it is, i swear i wish my car would just catch on fire so i could collect the insurane.

Clutch acting weird? Maybe your differential or something else internal in the tranny... does it sound different in different gears?

A lot of things rotate in the engine bay, but if it's more under deceleration, I'd suspect the tranny...

bend back the heatshields on the front brakes

Does it make noise at a standstill?

That would indicate mechanical vs. suspension/wheels.

no it's doens't make any noise while stopped.

IT's not the heat shield on the brake, it's a much heavier noise then that.

it could be wheel bearings
lift up car, neutal, rotate the wheel , and listen for noise

or it could be tranny noise, look for metal powder/piece in your tranny fluid.

what i'm goingt o do is jack the fron of the car up and put it in gear and see if i can pin point the noise with the car in the air.

Your axle isn't pushed in all the way and/or crooked. ;)

mine does the exact same thing. don't shoot yourself in the face, just replace the wheel bearing. it's a little less painfull. O0

That would be my guess.

More of a dull hissing sound than a rub.

Does it follow engine speed, or vehicle speed? When you are decelerating, does the noise follow the gear you are in? Does sit change again, with each gear selection? Or, does it consistently slow down with the vehicle speed?
