Re: pl3/9000 zc transmission???
Mista Bone- I have a question for you.I was under the assumption that the tranny code for 88-91 D16 SI was PL3 3000 and DX etc was PL A000.I just did a swap on a 88 CRX SI and i had his tranny left over so i decided to sell it.Now the buyer says Im trying to scam him and that its a DX tranny I sent him as the code is PL3 A000.I took the tranny out of this bone stock 88 CRX SI with about 100,000miles and Im about 99% sure this is the tranny that came from the factory in it as nothing has been changed or worked on that is detectible. ???

Re: pl3/9000 zc transmission???
well, only 88 Si tranny I came across looked like this.......
http://bonespec.com/Honda/D%20Series...s/PL3-XXXX.jpg Did the buyer install the tranny? If so what rpms in 5th gear @ 50 and 70 mph????? |
Re: pl3/9000 zc transmission???
No it has not been installed.I dont know what to tell him but the car it came from I put a ZC and 91 SI tranny as i had a flywheel clutch combo for that year of tranny. The owner has noticed no difference in cruise rpm so I am really confused.I have the tranny back here in my garage and I think I will open it and investigate.I have a pile of L3 trannys with blown diffs so worst case I will swap the diff over.It sucks though because I look like a scammer or I was trying to deceive someone and I dont know what to say as it is a 88 so who knows with that year wtf is going on.Thanks though you always answer my tranny questions.
