Pistons, Rods, Sleeve question
Hey guys what performance pistons, rods, sleeve are out there that can make my B16a handle more boost? How much am i looking to spend if i buy some performance pistons, rods, sleeve? I heard it was about $2000? Not sure. I heard eagle rods, sleeves are best for Hondas? ARP, JE pistons is better for B16a? Help?

Re:Pistons, Rods, Sleeve question
I believe I'll be going with either eagle or arias. I don't know many people using aftermarket engine internals besides things for headwork, so I'm going to have to pioneer in the area.

Re:Pistons, Rods, Sleeve question
I have a D16Z6, and I'm running Crower Rods (the good ones, not the cheaper ones), arias pistons (9:1 compression), and every fastener ARP makes that will fit my motor. I'm running stock sleeves that aren't pinned or anything at 13 PSI daily, and I haven't had a single problem (knock on wood). That, and the fact that I've burnt about 300 uberchips for my car tuning it. It's all just a matter of tuning. You can run 16psi on a stock d16z6 if you wanted (aka Jan Style), but I wouldn't recommend it. It's all in the tuning. Instead of sleeves, save the cash and drop it into Hondata setup.

Re:Pistons, Rods, Sleeve question
you cant customized your own settings. you have to bring it to a hondata dealer.

Re:Pistons, Rods, Sleeve question
Boosting above 15 psi, even with proper tuning, is creating immense pressure on the cylinder walls. You're going to have cylinder walk, while it may not be bad enough to crack from a few runs eventually they will.
