PISSED OFF with my IGNITION!
Here's the scenario:
Cars running great. Finally warmed up for 30 minutes before doing a test run. Checking all cylinders before running. One of my spark plug wires is not firing sparks at all. Did a compression check. All good across the board. My spark plug wires are the NOLOGY HotWires. So WTFH is wrong THIS TIME? (WTFH = What the fucken H*ll) The Dizzy? The wires? Man I'm so ------' steamed right now, I can't frickin' sleep trying to figure out what... PLEESE HEEEEEEEELLLLLLLP! Thanks guys (and gals, just in case if there's women around...) |
Re: PISSED OFF with my IGNITION!
try another plug wire.
try hooking up the bad wire to another spot on the distributor and see if it fires. if it fires, you've got a problem with the contact on the inside of the cap. if it doesn't, you've got a faulty plug wire. (this is assuming you're testing with a working spark plug.) |
Re: PISSED OFF with my IGNITION!
pull your multi meter out test continuity on wire thats giving you problems. also check the cont on the cap where that wire plugs into and the inside of the cap where it goes thru. check plugs {switch them around} and check the inside of dizzy for diposits on the back magnetic pickup where there are four prongs { not the sixteen one}, see if one of the four prongs are worn down. thats what all i would check first
good luck |
Re: PISSED OFF with my IGNITION!
i would just change the plug wires. just buy some ngk ones. those seem to work well. sounds like that could be a problem. or if anything just try a different wire for that one cylinder

also might be a good idea to test em first, switch it to another cylinder. |
Re: PISSED OFF with my IGNITION!
Switched out the Nologys, and replaced with NGK's AND OE's. Same problems, and still no fire in the wire.
Know something...I almost rhymed. :P It was unintentional. Thanks for the suggestions tho... Still investigating. |
Re: PISSED OFF with my IGNITION!
