is it ok to use a pcv valve from a car other than honda, or other than the engine I'm using? reason: I'm trying to setup a catch can and remove the factory black box, but I want to run a hose strait from the can to the intake, and put like a one way valve inline with that hose I plan to run it similar to the factory setup but only in different location, will it be fine?

Yiop some time ago i had nitrous injected into that PCV pipe with no air filter just a piece of tshirt with a rubber at the end

yeah, if it fits where you need it to. pcv valves all work the same, they just have different size fittings for different applications....
