I was getting code 90 so I had it pulled

getting a
P1456 Evaporative Emissions (EVAP) Control System Leakage (Fuel Tank System)
they told me it was the gas cap so I bought a new one form autozone

light is still on

what else do I check?
does the light reset itself or am I supposed to do something?

 

disconnect the battery for 1 min then reconnect.

 

can I just unplug the ecu i got lots of stereo setting that I dont wanna reprogram

 

just go back to the zone and get them to clear the code for ya!

 

well hell i tightened the gas cap 3 clicks liek it says

and DC'ed the ECU for 60 secs

and all is well
