Default overheating problem!

ok, after about driving 10 miles at 55 mph with heat on full blast the gauge will start climbing. if i put it in neutral and coast for a lil while the gauge will start coming down. if i go 2 miles without the heat on full blast it will start overheating. this all started after changing my radiator. my old one somehow fell out of its little perch and i drug it a lil while(without knowing) and it ate the bottom away and made a huge hole. so therfore i needed a new radiator. well, the new one is in, and it overheats. i took the t-stat out and it hasnt made one bit of difference in the way the car overheats or anything. even after the car gets hot, the lower radiator hose stays cold. the coolant is all the way to the top in the radiator, and the reserve doesnt move. im not boosted either. any suggestions??

Are you sure you got all the air out? How long did it take you? Is your fan coming on? Give it a little throttle and see if you can get any more bubbles. You can also jack up the front end so it is the highest point in the cooling system.

i let the car run for prolly 10 mins at least, more than on 3 different occasions. yes the fan kicks on. later i will try the part about jacking up the front of the car. i dont have any coolant in my oil either, and the water pump doesnt leak or make any noise. no one at auto zone or napa could help me out, they said it sounds like a weird problem.

Have you ever installed any of that no leak crap. If so it can clog up lines etc.

is the cooling fan turning on? if not check the fuse.

if the fan is turning on, try replacing the water temp sensor. i have one for sale.

also, in a 93 hatch, i think the blower motor for you climate control is used by the same fuse as the cooling fan on your radiator. if you turn on the fan inside the car, can you hear it working? if you can't, it is most likely a blown fuse.
