over heating under acceleration

Whats up, I have a civic with a d15 that I slapped a t25 on. well a few weeks ago I blew the head gasket on it and I have since fixed that. Everything has been fine until yesterday I noticed after driving on the interstate for about 35 miles the temp gauge wanted to rise under acceleration. When I am just cruising along normally it is fine. I started thinking "----, the head gasket blew again!" but when I got hom I left the car idling for a while in the driveway, there was no white smoke or any hint of coolant leakage and the temp was normal. After cool down, I checked the coolant level in the radiator and it was full. I am puzzled as to what it could be.
