opinions on lightwieght/race crankshaft pulley??

bling bling

just wondering your guys opinions on these cuz i think im going to get one. are worth buying, do they accually make power, are they safe, etc. im putting a B18A in my car and it has like 2 groved and one v-belt section, i wont be running anything but the alternator anyway. plus it might have a couple cracks in it (on the v-groove part).
anyway what you guys think?

If your engine isn't near perfectly balanced (ie stock) then running one of these underdrive pulleys can cause problems in the long run. One such example i have heard of was the oil pump toasted a few thousand KM after install. The reason is that the stock piece has a hard rubber piece sandwiched between the inner and outter part of the pulley to dampen engine vibrations. The stock pulley is actually called a harmonic balancer.

I think Larry http://www.theoldone.com/ has something about this on his site.

I have one in my crx and it works fine and never had problems. I did notice a little more torque slamming it into gears. I like em and would put them on again if i had to. Plus, for $56 Buy Now.. I would definately get it. My cost $108.

I have run my dh-racing one for over 3 years with no problems. Oh and he sells his also on ebay. His go for 125 but they have been proven for years on his 9 sec b16a and bisi's 10.0 all motor crx you know the blue hf with a sohc accord motor on carbs. He also has a dyno of 20 whp on a stock itr with the addition of the pulley.

If you are going to get an underdrive crank pulley, Unorthodox has a lightweight alternator pulley (stock size) to compliment it.

I'm in the works of trying to get a bling bling like that and a set of a/c and alternator pulleys. trying to do it for 100 bucks total.
