ok question for vtec solenoid
i'm doing a D15B7 block with a D16Y8 head. i just got everything for the swap but i'm lost with one thing.
http://norcalcrx.org/nikita/harness/TVTECsol.jpg i need to know what to do with the #1 and #2 plugs...like #1 has the plug on uit already but #2 only has the piece on the solenoid i don't have the part that plugs into it. |
Re: ok question for vtec solenoid
someone answer me damn it

Re: ok question for vtec solenoid
2 is the vtec plug (notice the ground, dont forget to ground it)
1 is pressure, jimmy rig a wire to it |
Re: ok question for vtec solenoid
i know i have to wire then i was wonderin if i don't have the plugs that plus into them how am i suppose to do it? i mean i can splice the wires from #1 but the number 2 plug in in the soenoid so i can't really splice the wires on it.

Re: ok question for vtec solenoid
I had to wire a buddies once, straight to the ECU then to the solenoid with some flat style female plug connectors
worked fine. popped off one time tho. |
Re: ok question for vtec solenoid
"flat style female plug connectors" where did u get those from?

Re: ok question for vtec solenoid
your run a vtec wire from ecu to solenoid, also ground it, using the connectors.
run a wire from the pressure sensor, its cake man. |
Re: ok question for vtec solenoid
i know the pic sucks but i couldn't find a real one lol...will this work...
if i take the oil pressure sensor/switch and put audio clips on the two nipples inside the sensor/switch and run wire to them will it work? and just ground one and run the other? like this... http://img464.imageshack.us/img464/2237/untitled7ly.png ^i couldn't find any pics so i made one =) but you see what i mean? if i took the clip and put a wire in it and hooked it to the nipples in the sensor...would i work if i electric taped it so it wouldn't fall off? just for time being... |
