oil pump-high rpm---I searched

Ok I searched and 90% is for d-series.
My ? what rpm will the gsr or type r handle. the motor we are building ( B16a3 ) will be at least 500hp and
redline around 9500 will these handle it.
I found a shop that rebuilds them with toda parts and even give a 1 yr. warrenty but pricey 425.00

I just want to be safe but not broke

Widebody will tell you to get the circuit worx oil pump gear. He's got a hard on for them.

LMAO best advice I've seen on here all day, and trust me...I've seen a lot of shitty advice on here lately. :P

There are a few things you have to do if you want to make an oil pump last. First, get the entire rotating assembly balanced completely. This will help with any rpm induced harmonics that like to break oil pumps. Second, don't run an aftermarket crank pulley, stick with the stock one. Once everything's balanced 100% you shouldn't have any issues with your oil pump's possibility of breaking. Of course, if you're going for an all out drag machine, I'd suggest you look into a dry sump system instead and forget about the stocker. 9500rpm on a stock B-series vtec oil pump is fine, I've seen more than a few of those run with no issues. At that rpm I'd be worried more about your valvetrain.

Thanx for the input, The motor we are building will be balanced and blueprinted, as for the pully we are using a ctr ( new ) as is everything else in this build. the oil pump was my main concern, because of what we want to accomplish. Even though my son is footing the bill on this build I don't want to break it by not supplying enough oil and waste his money. as for the valve train it will handle 10k

Pics will be up before to long along w/ write-up

Im not the only one here that runs them in my cars, Ass Hats. Hard on :3 ! Smile's from the increased oil pressure from the Kaizen Speed Kit, and an upgraded OIL PUMP gear. :y
My Choice so why rant about it :-\

You also have a homo H series motor. Stock GSR/ITR pumps are fine. a new ITR pump is only like $110

If you really want to bump up oil pressure all you have to do is add shims to the pressure release spring. :P
