oil pressure gauge
i have an autometer oil pressure gauge without the sending unit.. i was wondering if i can tap the stock oil pressure sensor line? does anyone know if that would work? if not would pepboy's or kragen carry the sender unit?? thanks

Yea you can tap the stock oil feed. But that wouldn't eliminate the fact that you still need a sending unit if this is an electrical gauge.
Oops I re-read what you wrote and it seems that you mean tapping into the wire from the stock oil pressure sensor? No, you can't do that. It's not a sending unit really, it's a switch. It's either on or off, which means you either have oil pressure or you don't. In this case a gauge would be as useful as the dummy light in your dash.

Wait, you can T off the stock oil pressure sensor on the block then run the oil pressure gauge off one side of the T. Id suggest a brass hardline instead of those shitty plastic looking ones. If this didnt help sorry because I did or didnt understand your situation.
