Oil filter sandwich plate???

I bought a oil filter oil plate off ebay, and it came with two fittings to screw in to the back of the block.....one that has a holow hole in it, and the other dose not....... the one that has a hollow fitting dose not thread up to the block where the oilfilter would go, and the solid one dose..... im no car genus, but there has to be a hole there in order for the oil to get to the filter.....some one corect me if im wrong, but i think i need to drill it out....... the picture below has the hollow fiting that would not fit the block.??? so the question is can that be blocked off, " no" or do i just need to drill a hole in the solid one to get it to work ???

Ok the red circle is the one that wont fit my block but is hollow ....the blue circle is the closed one that dose fit.... but i don't think that will allow oil to pass threw the filter

My ebay oil thing had 2 adapter fittings, both were hollow to allow oil to pass through.
