I tried to use a sandwich plate for mine but it was almost inpossible due to space and the shape of the block. Instead I took the feed from the oil pressure switch on the back of the block using a T off. I then used a mocal oil filter relocator kit to bring the the oil filter to the RH wing where the air filter used to be, this served well to feed my oil cooler too.
Drained oil from the turbo should always be fed into the sump via the shortest route with least resistance.
