ok i put my zc back togther with brand new seals and head gasket and rings too....i finally got it to run but the oil and coolent are mixing and my head gasket is leaking im thinkng that is were it must be mixing from but im not really sure....i bought the gasket for a d16a1 i thought those were suppose to be the right gasket ....also the car has a really rough idle and it is not running very sharp throttle response sucks and it has a rpm drop every once and awhile... some info and help would be much appreciated

You have a VERY blown head gasket. Did you get the head shaved before installing it? If not, that is probably the issue right there.

Remove the head and get it resurfaced, replace it with a new headgasket

u might want to have the head checked to make sure it's not warped and even worth re-using....i've seen some head warp so bad they couldn't be milled without taking to much off.....

i took the head off and got the whole thing worked but it wasent resurfaced it wasent leaking before though.... the head gasket is brand new but ill rip it back off and see if it got messed up or something ....its a d16a1 head gasket....are those actually the right ones or is their somethig differnt about them ...and yeah its a dohc

well i called my machinest today he said he resurfaced it ...but im going to pull it this weekend and take it back to him he said hell run across it again to make sure ...but i wonder if i might of pinched the head gasket some were or something because it mix a ---- load of coolent with the oil and i cant even figure out what else would be the cause but its got to be around were the head meets the deck because its leaking and everything else...but if u got n e other ideas of what could be causeing this let me know cuz ill go through and check to see if its a prob

Could be a crack in the block, or a warped block...or a cracked head. I doubt you pinched the headgasket if you torqued it down correctly. I wouldn't get it shaved again but I would have him check it with a straight edge and check it for cracks.

well i have him checkit for warpage and cracks n ----
