oil control jet on b18a1 block with vtec head

do i need to take out the oil control jet in the block when i put the vtec head on? i took it out...but i put it back in so i wont lose it. now it doesnt have the factory seal anymore...it just freely comes out if i take a pin and pull it out....before i had to break the factory seal and it was a lil tough but it popped out nicely...anywho do i need to leave it in and put a new seal on it or will it stay in there or should i take it out entirely ???

welding that up wont hurt anything if you resurface it. just drill the fucker out if it has to go back on a vtec block.
