oil coming out of exhaust ports? bent valves?

So i noticed some oil seeping out between the ehxuast manifold and the head the other day, it's on the #3 and 4 ports. At fist i though it was the head gasket because i settled on the coner of the block before i noticed it on the manifold, Coolant doens't have any oil in it and no other signs of a blown HG. So how can i actually tell if i do have bent exhaust valves? Take the head off and pour oil on the valve to see if it leaks through? Also i've noticed oil burning out of the exhaust so this further leads me to belive they are bent.

compression test, then leakdown test. that will give you your answer.

why would you think you have bent valves...seems more like bad rings if its burning oil (is it all the time, high rpm, just off idle...?)

if it comes out under acceleratiopn its your oil rings, you can have good compression and have bad oil rings, if it comes out when you let off the gas its the valve stem seals.

I'm thinking it's the valves because the tensionator lossened up a few weeks ago and the timing belt popped off the exhaust cam and had metal to metal contact this was while at idle. Everything in the motor is brand new only 1300 miles so i don't think it's the rings, at least i hope it isn't. It's only when i'm in boost at high RPM's. but bad rings wouldn't explain the oil coming out of the exhuast ports. The motor is a B18b1 with eagle rods, wiesco pistons with file to fit rings. The head has crower dual stage valve springs and all new honda valve seals ect.

that makes no sence, because if the valves aren't closing all the way the oil is goign to leak down into the combustion chamber therefor burning oil. under acceleration with higher RPMS this would make the valves miss the seal even more so if the valves are bent it would burn more under load then at idle or no load.

could be bad seals as a result of bent valves sure. but a bent valve alone wont cause oil to get in there.

well that sucks. I mean the car still runs great, very strong. When i get time this week i'll do a comp test and see when #'s i get.

umm, yea it would. thats where exhaust comes from and when you burn oil it comes out the exhaust
