Odd noise
So i was funny enough on my way to check out a new car and I heard thunking, like motor mount is loose type thunking. well its a little louder adn all my mounts are nice and tight. Motor is not jumping around or moving at all but I feel teh thunk in the floor boards and pedals. Brakes are good and I put the car on some jack stands and went around it and I cant see anything loose or nothing like that. No fresh metal scrapes or anything, no missing bolts beat, banged and pry'd on some ---- and nothing moved or seemed loose with either suspension relevied or compressed. It only happens when i hit bumps doesn't matter if i turn or not or forward or reverse just bumps. But when its parked I cant make it do it by jumpin up and down on the front end or lettin the jack out fast. just hittin bumps. Im stumped. as far as I can tell ---- aint gonna fall off but it sure feels like it when it thunks. doesnt feel good at all
around 22 seconds you here it right when i go up the driveway. sounds like i shift gears or something.
SHift linkage everythign i can thikn of under that damn car is tight and not moving. but that is teh sound of something moving. no major work done to teh car lately. been fine for months dailyin it no issues. any suggestions other than kill it with fire?

Re: Odd noise
well the ride is not effected at all and yeah teh tranny is real noisey. I swapped the throwout bearing and the one they gave me was abotu teh same condition as the one i replaced. I have not felt like spending 3 days to swap it out again. Shitty jacks and shitty cherry pickers made lining that ---- and gettin it bolted up right was a bitch.
Only thing that feels different is when it clunks i can feel it.

Re: Odd noise
Real men don't need a cherry picker to put a tranny in :P
All I need is a hydraulic jack and I'm golden. All that aside... your car may ride "normal" but you could still have a busted shock. Does it do it only when going over ruts, bumps, sudden inclines, things of that nature? You said it did it while you were going up the driveway, right? Of course you need to check your joints too
Good luck with that shiz man.

Re: Odd noise
Nah the issue wasnt the cherry picker you just should have seen teh damn welds on it. my step dad thought he was being crafty so he took a few pieces of iron or whatever and welded them to the end and tossed a pully on it. then he used A bolt to secure a boat wench to the end, so you have a crank and ----. well the 6 year old chinese kid he had weld it sucked cause that ---- was slip all to hell. i was certain it was gonna drop the motor.
I just couldnt get that damn tranny to line back up after i got it out. Seriously took me like a whole day worth of work just to get a damn bellhousing bolt threaded straight lol. not sayin i wasnt full of fail lol just saying it wasnt the cherry pickers fail, hell it was there so i used it.
