obdo to obd1 conversion question
how do i check what code the cel is throwing? i know on the obd1 you need to jumper something... im using a chipped p28 with a crx.

Re: obdo to obd1 conversion question
I dont know what conversion harness you have but on my boomslang harness all i had to do was jump the timing adjusting connector.

Re: obdo to obd1 conversion question
Adjustable timing connector either doesn't exist, or is hidden on 90-91. If 88-89, jump the connector. You should be fine.
Otherwise I want to say pin ??? to D22 sensor ground. I think it's D-plug, D3 or D13 maybe. It's been a minute. Brown wire in an OEM harness, so if you DIY the conversion then you'll see it. |
Re: obdo to obd1 conversion question
yeah its a diy jumper harness. i was told to ground b4 from the p28 and then my engine light on the guage cluster will blink at me. it hasnt worked so far, but thanks for the tips. ill try d22 for sure.

Re: obdo to obd1 conversion question
the timing connector on 90-91 is inside the car by the passengers foot area.

Re: obdo to obd1 conversion question
so what do i do with the d22 pin?
|
Re: obdo to obd1 conversion question
D22 is sensor ground. Grn/wht. Run it to the brown check connector wire.

Re: obdo to obd1 conversion question
Colten....its D4... ground that and your set... if it blinks off then goes solid when you do that its a solid CEL and something is fucked up wiht the harness or most likely ECU/chip...
