Default OBD1 MOTOR IN A OBD2 CAR

hey i was wondering what you would have to do to make a obd1 motor work in a obd2 car (b series), i have a obd2 gsr but no motor or anything and i wanted to get a jdm motor but they dont carry obd2 motors so what would i need to do?

Switch to obd-1. obd-2 is crap.then you can chip the ecu to respond to bolt-ons or for turbo.if you buy a complete swap all you would need is the conversion harness for the ecu.the hardest part would be the dizzy part.you would have to cut the dizzy plug off and splice on a obd-1 dizzy plug.its color for color no to hard to figure out.

so all i would have to do is just change the dizzy and then change the ecu and it would work just as good as my obd2 motor?

if you buy the swap with everything including the ecu,ect.. the only changes needed to the car is the obd-2 to obd-1 conversion harness.check out jdmshit.com for more info.and it would be 100 times better with obd-1.ask anybody on here.obd-2 sucks *****.my 2000 si is obd2 and i did the switch to obd1 and its much better.ecu responds better to bolt-ons and stuff.i chipped the ecu and took off the rev limit, speed limit, adjusted fuel, timimng, things like that.obd2 is not chippable.you wont get the most or none out of your mods.

you dont have to change the distributor when going from obd2 to obd1. thats only from obd0 to obd1. all you need is the conversion harness and thats it. just take all the sensors from the obd2 motor and put it onto the obd1 motor. if i remember u can even use an obd1 harness. well just the engine harness

pending on where you live though you may want to check your local emissions laws if you have them, wether you can put a obd1 motor in a obd2 car, some states and or counties will not allow this.
