OBD1 IM on OBD2
Ok here the deal. Im putting a z6 intake manifold on my y7. I'm going to be using my y7 sensors, since the z6's sensors are all crusty. Should I take any special actions because of it being a obd1 intake manifold? Also the throttle body will be off a 95 GSR.

Re:OBD1 IM on OBD2
what ECU are you going to be running with this?

Re:OBD1 IM on OBD2
make sure you have the fuel rail from the z6 mani

Re:OBD1 IM on OBD2
ok, make sure you use teh Y7 TB. The IACV on taht car is a 3 wire and the normal IACV is a 2 wire. the ECU requires a 3 Wire to work right.

Re:OBD1 IM on OBD2
Is there anyway to convert it? I wanted to use this 95 gsr TB.

Re:OBD1 IM on OBD2
I heard I can just switch the map off of my y7 onto the gsr tb. And the tps would work? Any comments on this?

Re:OBD1 IM on OBD2
The only way you are going to be abl3e to use the GSR TB is to get a new ECU. The IACV is set up like an automatic and htere is no way to convert it so the y7 ECU sees it and uses it. you will ahve to go to either a P28,PTP ECU (SOHC VTEC) or the P72 (GSR ECU) to make it work right. you could step down and use a D15 ECU (OBD1) but its really not worht the hassle. (I have done 5 swaps on thease motors and they are a bitch to modify if you want a new intake)

Re:OBD1 IM on OBD2
So I should just use my y7 TB on the z6 im and it'll work out right?
