obd0-obd1 dizzy
 
yall think the sohc obd1 dizzy will run fine on my dohc zc? im converting it to obd1 and i already ahve one of these dizzys and would like to use it instead of paying 200 out of my ass for another.
let me knwo if anyone has done it. im finishing my harness tonihght and sticking thehondata in tomorrow

nope you have to use an obd1 dist. its been tired by many people to use an obd0 dist w/ an obd1 ecu they just dont work plain and simple

huh? he asked if he could use a OBD1 SOHC dizzy...


yes if you could get it bolted to the head it should work...the timing might be off though...

get a a1 dist and swap internals with a b7 housing(just because it's cheaper). Don't forget that the z6 if you plan to use that, has the cam angle sensor built into the dist unlike the dohc zc dist. Hell you could just get a cam seal for a b-series and just get rid of that cam angle sensor totally if you use the z6 dist. All along at you can get it to stay put and not leak that's all that really matters and that you have enough movement for adjustment of timing.

ok sorry but i dont knwo what b7 and a1 are (d16a1)
i rolling a g1 teg so ive never had a civic or any single cam motors. the sohc obd1 dizzy bolts up just wondering bout the timing,
