Re:OBD0 to OBD1
not sure it's possible. i've heard over going down (like 2 to 1), but never going up. you would have to install all the sensor on your engine the the ODB1 is looking for that don't exist on your ODB0 engine.
as usual, someone correct em if i'm wrong. |
Re:OBD0 to OBD1
accually on some site i seen a adapter harness that lets your change your obd0 into obd1 i dunno how it works and all, all i know is it lets you plug in obd1 ECU. if i find the link i will post it

Re:OBD0 to OBD1
yeah there is a guy on honda-tech selling a harness for OBD0 to OBD1, but you would still need to repin some ---- like the dizzy.
it is possibly, leed on this website did it in his CRX to run a Hondata ECU. im sure he will be posting soon on this ;) |
Re:OBD0 to OBD1
oh here are some links:
http://www.geocities.com/kurtsi_on/page8.html (didnt read it, lots of words an tech/wiring ----, ill read it later ::)) http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=464527 the harness i was talkin about think thats all my OBD1 links... |
Re:OBD0 to OBD1
Dustins first link is the guide I used. (plus the ECU schematics from Shortyz. :) )
You need a OBD1 distributor, (depending on engine/injector choice you may need to toss your resistor box), adapter harness for ECU plugs. What kind of swap are thinking of doing? Heads up: After a busy day of raping yards from Oly to Everett, I have the parts to make 7 OBD0-1 adapters. Im a lazy pile of ----, so Itll be about a month before I sell. But I'll be posting on here. Saw more clear tails/unpainted body kits in Everett then I could ever hope too. :-X |
Re:OBD0 to OBD1
I read one website that said you can just wire in the dizzy from a 92-95 civic, even if you are retaining the PM6 ECU... I've also heard other wise.

Re:OBD0 to OBD1
i just finshed doing a obd0 to 0bd1 convertion last month in my 90 integra.
o changed the whold harness under the hood, and repinned the firewall conectors, and ran a new wire for the heated o2 sensor(which you need or you'll get a code) wiht the ecu plugs i cut and soidered the wires to the new plugs, you can also make a convertion harness just as easy if you have an old obd0 ecu to chop. i have a chart showing what wires need to got where and the function of every wire. if you have any question sned me a msg |

Re:OBD0 to OBD1
jason on honda tech is doing the group buy.
comes with plugs to wire at the ecu a p28, then hanress then it plugs into your stock harness for obd0.. at the dizzy he has a harness as well he makes. asm has em. it takes the plugs from the obd0 dizzy and wires it to obd1 dizzy so u can plug it in.. i think thats about it. and u just have to wire the vtec solenoid, and vtec oil pressure sensor. |
Re:OBD0 to OBD1
