obd 2 to obd 1 conversion

I'm going from my stock OBD2 ecu, 97 Civic EX, to an OBD1 ecu, 95 Civic EX, the wiring harness are different. The guy that was going to do it for me because he had the wiring diagrams now tells me he will charge me 500+ for the job :o. I was like ---- no >:(. for that amount I could just get a complete harness from a junkyard a 92-95 civic ex and change the whole thing, someone told me it could be done, but to take the old one out and connect everything in would be a big pain in the ass. Skunk2 sell an OBD2 to OBD1 adapter, but they sell for almost $300, for 2 plugs and 8 inches of wires. Does anyone know were I could get the wiring diagrams from? If I can't find it I guess I'll either wait for someone else who could do it or go with the skunk 2 harness. I do have the 95 ECU and the plugs with about 12 inches of cable, which I could connect to my factory wires but need help to know which is which.
Any HELP :-[

You need the pin outs from both ECU's to do the conversion, and you can derive them from the Helms manuals for each car the ecus came from.

You are lucky you have the obd 1 plugs already, they are expensive to buy. You need the female plugs for the OBD2 to complete the adapter. This needs to be hacked out of a obd 2 ECU. You also need to have a good soldering iron, heat shrink tubing, and a lot of time and patience. I completed a similar adapter, but went from pre-obd to obd 1.

I would gladly buy an adapter next time, it was not worth all the time involved for me.

I got the plugs free, because my friend got some other things last time we were at the junkyard. :D

What is cool is that shift knob, solid. We should do a group buy on those bad boys.

Thats rather pathetic, because even Skunk2 only overcharges $225 for it. My friend Wyatt is working on a prototype harness for my Del Sol, but we're having a bitch of a time finding an ECU to match a boosted D16Y7 (Hondata is looking better by the minute), and to build the harness even though it looks pretty nasty has only cost about $165 so far (thats including the sessy little adapters and wire cover [you know the gray computer looking thing])
