obd-1 B18B into a non obd crx?

I have a 94 b18b that I want to put into my crx that is wired for a b16A (non obd). What do I need to do to convert the ls? Will my plugs mate with the sensors on the motor? Can I slap my b16 intake manifold on it? Is there anything else that I'm not thinking about besides the IM sensors?

b16 intake manifold wont fit on a ls head. The coolent sensor on the b18 is on the thermostat housing, on your b16 its on the back of the block. Using a obd0 dizzy would be easyest. THese are the first things I could thinks of ;)

oh yea. The dist. What obd-0 dist. can I use? does it have to be LS? What year intake manifold do I need to get?

you can use an Si dizzy (only one bolt thought) or a 90-91 ls dizzy. everything else should be the same, save for teh coolant sensor placement. just dont hook up your mad vee-tack wiring.

if you need an LS mani look here http://hondamarketplace.com/zerothread?id=1475572, its bare but you can swap all your b16 stuff over to it

:D Just run all OBD 0 B18a stuff and make it simple.I have most of everything you need as well.A dizzy, intake manifold minus t.b a engine harness etc.

How much?

BTW: I will now be selling my obd-1 ls intake manifold. MAke offers. O0

I need a 90-91 PR4 ecu, 90-91 ls intake manifold, and the non obd ls dist. Anyone got some of those valve cover cap nuts and seals? I need the seals and nuts that hold it down. Mine are corroded and rusted up. Gonna pull the head off soon to have it hot tanked. I have most of the engine harness on my LS still. But it does not have a distributor on it. Also need a dipstick. lol. This is what I get for paying $150 for it :6

----. Racintweek: That ls mani on h-t is obd-1. The one I have is obd-1 also. You caying I can swap all my b16 stuff onto it? I didnt see spots for my b16 stuff and it has things I've never seen before on it.

i put a obd1 ls in my 91 you dont need as many vac lines thats all. there should be some metal vac tubing on the back of the mani that you dont need.

FPR, MAP, Purge, and Booster are the only things you need to hook up. you dont need the little vac diaphram be the trottle body, take out the 2 screws that hold it on and put it in the trash.

If you need the manifold and obd0 dizzy say $75 shipped.I have some accorn valve cover nuts and i think some new seals that go under them as they come with a valve cover gasket set.I have a bunch of B18a stuff as I am building a LS/Vtec and i bought a whole 91 Integra to pull parts from of which i took the engine with every thing attached etc.

Chris, you can borrow one of my 90-91 LS distributors, but I'd need it back by this time next year. It needs coil/ignitor but the ones from your B16 will drop right in. I also have stock OBD0 PR4 ECU you can borrow, unless you really want to do the high CR bit where we'd just tune your PR3. I have multiple LS intake manifolds and misc swill for free if you'll get it out of my way so I stop tripping over it.

Joseph. I have the day off saturday, so if I can come up that day to do this, I sure as hell will. Free stuff pwns :y I gave you a call. Hit me back. I'm going to be at work after 3, but I'll give you a call back if you call then. I'll need directions to your new place. I'm gonna leave the motor stock, but I'm gonna take th ead off to have it hot tanked soon, and reassemble it with a valve cover gasket set and new HG. Suprisingly, there is no oil residue on the block btwn the head/block anywhere. That makes me happy. And I can turn it with no problem by the flywheel as well. ;D

Got everything I need to get her running now, thanks to Joseph big time :y O0. Joseph, you wouldnt happen to have any extra peak and hold injectors you'd trade me for my saturated ones would you? I forgot about that whole deal while IW as up there. I'm 60% sure I'd be able to use these saturated ones, if I just disconnect the resistor box though.....right? Or would I have to have the obd-1 ecu? If I can use this ecu, I thinkg I'll just use bullet connectors on the injector wiring to go btwn obd plugs. Make things a lil easier...

Re: obd-1 B18B into a non obd crx?

As long as the ECU sees high resistance, it doesn't matter much with small (240cc) injectors if you run saturated or p&h.

I have a couple sets of both laying around, if you want to swap some around at some point, sure. Works for me. I have four sets of 240cc in my glove compartment, one of them is assured to be the impedance you want. 8)
