o2 sensor

Everyones had the problem off having a 02 code thrown when using an aftermarket header with a relocated o2 sensor bung... question, can a 3 wire heated o2 sensor be used (the extra two wires should be just for the heating element) to eliminate these troublesome codes? my theory is that the o2 sensor just isn't getting hot enough at the base of the b-pipe to work properly..... any thoughts???

You bet. Did this on my old project . (O2 cooling during slow cruise or long idle)
In my case I used an old one from my brothers GN. Just ran the power through a (ignition on) switched source, and made sure to give it a 'good' ground. Worked out fine for me.
