O-ring the block

Ok, I bought a Copper Head Gasket made by SCE or something like that, but it said that I had to o-ring the block or have some head work done to it. Where can I find the o-rings for a d16a6 on the internet? Even better, does anybody know the dimensions of these o-rings maybe a machine shop that I know could make them. Any info. on the subject would be appriciated ;D Cause I'm kinda clue less :'(

basically, draw a line all the way around the block, and measure that. you'll need to cut a groove about 1/2 as deep as the material the o-ring is made from. you'll need to do the same on the head too. so 2 o-rings. one up-top and one down-below. at least this is how i've read it. as always though, someone correct me if i'm wrong.

ok...ask abaz about this, but from my understanding, o-rings (which the machine shop has to custom make) go at the top of the sleeve or can be put in the head....im talking out my ass though

Re:O-ring the block

yes, they do go around the top of the sleeve. they go there to create a high pressure spot in the gasket right around the cylinder, which is why they can hold so much pressure. the grooves can be put into the head as well, but it will be much easier for the machinist to put them in the block, i have done it. personnally i would recommend just having the thing sleeved. the dartons are grooved for O-rings from the factory i believe. using a standard honda gasket will work fine if you dont wanna go through the hasle, they will hold more than your sleeves will anyway....

Well since the whole block has been assembled allready, I'm going to see if they could put the o-rings in the head, does anybody know the specific dimensions to a D16A6 with a .05 in. thick head gasket?
