Trim refers to the size of the turbo compressor and turbine wheels. The smaller trims usually spool up faster while the larger trims, depending on how large they are, will have some lag (aka turbo lag). Hopefully someone else will add his $0.02.

trim is what i do to my pubic hairs....

but on a serious note, i just refers to the size of the wheels on the turbo

ie 54,57 60 trims 54 is smaller than 57 ect.
