non vtec oil pan fit d16z6?

does anyome know if a single cam non-vtec oil pan will fit on my d16z6? I could get one for free and need it for a turbo project to save on down time. it out of 92 DX mine is a 94 si.

I belive it does. sohc share allmost the same block. Not like dohc. 98ctr

some have the end studs in a diffrent place. you will have to remove one stud to make it work

the 96+ SOHC oil pans are diffrent from the rest.

I guess I'll have to see if it would work I might just take mine off and use that, I'll probally have to replace the oil-pan gasket correct?

its a good idea to replace the oil pan gasket, but its not necesarry if it does not leak oil or its not ripped. 98ctr

i would replace the gasket with it off the car, they get hard and brittle after a few years and dont seal woth a ----

d16z6 and jdm d15b are the same oil pans, all the others are different, but they are still compatible just you cant put the two tranny/block braces on if you put swap a pan to a z6 that isnt a z6 or jdm d15b
