Default no vtec?

i have an h22a in my eg hatchback, it was running fine for the past week no codes, just changed the oil, i tweaked with some vacum lines sensors etc. trying to lower the idle, and now no vtec? the car throws a code at 6500 rpms in 3rd gear, nut if i turn the car off and on it goes away.

it in an obd1 eg hatch, i plug the jumper in to read codes and it just throws a constant check engine light? im running a chipped pherable ecu

if anyone could help that would be great
or if you just want to call me a ****** and niggger like always that would be great too haha

Could be a vtec solenoid or pressure sensor....If you disconnected and/or miswired the pressure sensor lead it won't engage, but could be other things as well. Here's a good article which might help, there's a paragraph on why won't vtec engage towards the bottom.

but when i check codes the cel light has already gone away

i dont think the ecu is bad because it still runs the injectors and the 2 step launch still works

Well if its not ur ecu then its most likely coming from a couple possible sources... Iether you aren't getting propper oil (if you can check the pressure), your solenoid isn't working (Apply power and listen for it to activate and if it does make sure it isn't blocked), or your vtec oil pressure sensor is bad/ has a bad connection/ is blocked. Try one of those 3 ansd see if you can find anything.
