Re: no v-tec
Are you getting a cel? Check all your connections. Also check the filter on the vtec solinoid.

Re: no v-tec
oil pressure shouldnt drop, sounds like your car isnt wired for vtec and you just plugged in the p28 to the stock harness.
or your oil level is low and your throwing a code 22 and vtec is not engaging. how is the car wired.. start here, if the ecu functions properly, than its most likely a wiring problem. |
Re: no v-tec
you got to have a least 55 psi of oil pressure for vtec to kick in check ur oil and the screen if thats clogged then vtec wont work and u might not be wired right

Re: no v-tec
You shouldn't be losing oil pressure even when it hits vtec engagement. Usually the ecu needs to see at least 55-60 psi of oil pressure, and has to be at normal operating temp before it will even allow vtec to engage. If it's not wired right, you'll get a CEL. And just out of curiosity and i know this is probably a stupid question to ask, but with your ls/vtec setup are you sure that all the head work was done properly? An oil pressure drop might mean that one of the oil returns might not be plugged right with that swap.
