no dag on fuel...IT LIVES!!

ok well mission get new LS crx running by this weekend didnt happen...ive got it converted over to obd1 and the CEL comes on and goes back off like it should. ive got fuel up to the fuel rail but the injectors wont fire. i sprayed some starting fluid at it and it fired for a second. ive got good spark and all that just no fuel and the only code i have is a 41 which is like a O2 heater or something and that wont keep it from getting fuel. also there is battery voltage at the injector plugs in start up and they all have 2.3 ohms of resistance if anyone knows what the hell could be wrong lemme know i appriciate it

Have you even checked your fuel pressure???. Or seen if the fuel pressure regulater is leaking???? Did you see if the injectors really arent pulsing??? Did you check your ecu??? check that and let me know.

Re: no dag on fuel

good fuel pressure. good ecu with a fresh stockls burn and yes it is a good burn ... i dont have a meter with a scope on it so i cant see if the computer is sending a pulse signal to the injectors while in start up. i spun the engine over and pulled a plug and it was dry as a bone so its not making it to the cylinders....----... i wouldnt think that all 4 injectors are bad but i guess crazier things have happened so i reckon thats the next step.

Re: no dag on fuel

Have those injectors been sitting around for awhile. I was reading up on similar problems. Some people have had all 4 injectors cloged from sitting during a swap. Iv never seen this but im just trying to give you some ideas since i cant look at the car myself. Try different injectors or try cleaning them your self HMT style. IF that dosent work i would try and see if i could find a different ecu somewhere cheap. Was there anything that happend during the swap anything weird you could thinik of that would maybe linked to this problem. Let me know what happends.

i had the same problem.... on the injector box check that your giving power to all the injector's' but since your obd 1 you problaly don't have one but make sure power is getting to em..!!

Re: no dag on fuel

well heres the scoop on the car. just incase anyone missed the LS crx thing from earlier its a 91 crx with a b18a. i got the car from mad tyte jdm hizonduh guru buddy of mine(hes japanese too go figure ::)) that bought the car with a b16 swap. sold the b16 and put an ls in the car. never could get it running OBD0 and he needed money to start his lawn care business so i bought the car off him. i get the car dont waste any time with it go to work print off the diagrams for the 93 teg that my dizzy is from and a 91 crx and wire up my obd1 dizzy to obd0 take the computer and conversion harness out of the other car and wham obd1 crx with no fuel. i checked the resistor box and there is continuity from the red wire to all the black wires. there is battery power at the injectors in key on position. it could be possible that the injectors sat around and got some rust in them or something i cant feel the cycling while turning the engine over like u normally can. i do have a dwel meter though...i guess i could try and see if it would show any power comming to them?

So what kind of injectors are those what motor and year?

Re: no dag on fuel

im not sure, they show like 2.3 ohms so i know theyll work with the resistor box or whatever i just dont know if they are maybe rusted shut. i got off work too late tonight to try to mess with it in the dark maybe better luck tomorrow

Re: no dag on fuel

i FINALLY got a chance to mess with the crx again and heres what i have came up with as well as a few questions. checked resistance and power at the injectors once again just to see what was going on. i found 2.2 ohms at the injectors and batt voltage at the plug just like befor. in the past ive "cleaned" injectors with a battery and some aligator clips with battery voltage the injectors cycle right? well i figure i have batt. voltage at the injector clips the injectors should cycle too right? but they dont, why? crimped the return line with some vicegrips and its still a no go.

Re: no dag on fuel...update?

well i went back out and messed with it some more and got it to run but it wont fire on its own if i spray some carb cleaner at it itll fire almost everytime, but i think thats got to do with the CKP sensor code im getting. tomorrow ill get the right diagrams for it and make sure its wired right. it ran good one time but in limp mode so it idled high and wouldnt rev real high. not much smoke just a little when it first started but thats to be expected i reckon on an engine that has sat for almost a year.

Re: no dag on fuel...update?

try pulling the rail with the injectors in it still. point it at a friend/little brother and have someone try to turn it over. if it squirts fuel you have a different problem. i thought i had some bad injectors when i did my first dpfi to mpfi swap but i was wrong. injectors code was showing but they were good. tuned out to be a bad ground on the valve cover and then it ran beautifully.

Re: no dag on fuel...update?

yea i started out with the ground at the valve cover and a broken wire had no CEL at all but all thats sorted out now. the way it ran earlier supprised me honestly. i think once i get the crank position code sorted out ill be ready to start swaping out all my turbo stuff damn i cant wait! ive been driving around the 10 mpg lifted ass chevy for 3-5 months i cant even remember now. im ready for some sick nasty 70mph burnouts and swinging the front end at mustangs again!!
