Newbie here, be nice and help =)

Hey lads, really need some help with basics! I have a d16 civic and really wanna get it boosted but ive never taken anything like this on before. Ive read up quite a bit but still unsure on a couple of things. Im from the UK you see and not alot guys over here will take on the challenge! Unlike you US turbo nutters!

Im going to buy a basic kit off the internet, T3 turbo, Charge piping, manifold, wastegate, oil feed/return lines, bov, downpipe, intercooler and boost controller. I think thats all it comes with. After this, what i think i need to get, and correct me if im wrong. Fuel injectors, FMU, turbo timer. Am i missing anything, can i get away with this set up?

The things i dont know is what ratio FMU i'll need? or does it not matter? What size injectors?

Also i know the oil return goes back to the oil pan, does the feed come from the oil pan aswell? :-\

Vacuum lines?!? i dont understand this either, do they all just link to the vacuum on the intake manifold?

I know the questions may sound stupid to you but it would really help me out. Thanks

p.s. Does anyone have any close up pics of a d16z6 setup like this what i can clearly see?

First off, you need to do a ---- ton more reading. All the info is here. I'll point you in the right direction because I'm in a good mood but you're probably going to get flamed. Turbo timer = waste of money, let your car idle down a few minutes before u turn it off.

If you actually have read this bored, the majority (not all) but the majority recommend a chipped ECU over an FMU. Get a chipped ECU, its cheap and tuning software is free w/ crome or uberdata. Seriously, dont be gay.

Injectors depend on how much boost you are going to be running, also depends on their duty cycle for that amt of boost. Specs on your turbo probably would help here, T3 is a pretty broad range of turbos. You also should consider adding voltage to your stock fuel pump or upgrading w/ aftermarket unit. Again, all depends on the amt of boost you want. Remember, as they say, 10lbs will turn ya out. Anything beyond 11psi and you will need a bigger map sensor.

Oil pan needs a bung for the return line. JB weld one in, not sure the recommended height on D series. Get a T fitting for your feed line. needs to be after the pump.

Vacuum lines go from the manifold. Make sure the BOV and boost controller get a line (boost controller then connects to WG vacuum line)

Turbo Projects on the Left side column of the website has plenty of D16 setups..

You really are a lousy noob. use the ------ search button, and since i gave u some freebies... post some damn porn.

your asking for pics of setups? You obviously haven't browsed this site very much.

Do I have to move your eye muscle left for you? *cough* menu.... *cough*

lol. No, i had seen the pics. I just wanted close ups.

I think i got a pretty good idea now.

But where does the missing link go? and what psi am i safe to run a D16 at?

This kit looks pretty good to me, am i right?

So on top of this, what do i need?
Ive got a Walbro fuel pump already installed.
A missing link.
What size injectors? 350CC?
Chipped ECU
Do i need a FMU?
Boost guage, Air/Fuel, Oil Pressure? that it for basic guages?
Already got cams and cam gear.
B&M fuel pressure reg
Boost controller. Think i can get away with a manual?

;D

I think you need to try honda-tech.com and stay there.

If you chip the ECU, you won't need the missing link, FMU, or B&M fuel pressure reg.
But you will need someone that could tune the car.
What cam are you runnin?

ditch the missing link

add DSM 390's or 450's for injectors

Get a basemap on that bitch and rape it.
