New Motor Break in

Default New Motor Break in

How do you guys break in your motors...boost no boost....ring seating, miles driven how hard or babied before racing and ragging?

I let mine warm up, take it out and redline it on 2nd then let it coast down then do it again, did it like 5 or 6 times then change oil and be done.
sounds terriable but it runs just fine

i start it let it idle for 10-15 mins drain the oil put new in. then normal driving never passing 4000 for the first 500 miles.

^^ front what ive heard your not supposed to let it idle for long periods of time, there are lots of different ways to break in motors, people prefer to tune the idle, and tune partial throttle and break it in that way, otheres like using a stock ecu. i myself would probably tune for the proper a/f at idle and partial throttle before driving it around
